Accessibility
Midlands Co-operative Society is committed to providing a web site that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology and including those who have visual, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments. The Co-operative’s core values of democracy, equality, equity and solidarity recognise that the Internet has changed the way we work and communicate. At Midlands Co-op we are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our web site and in doing so, aim to meet our legal obligations under the UK Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
We are aware that accessibility is not a matter to be taken lightly and we are working to achieve maximum accessibility for all our web sites. We are tackling one web site at a time, in order to ensure that each site provides the best experience possible for our visitors.
Web Accessibility Initiative
This web site has not yet undergone accessibility work, but inline with our overall strategy, we will be starting to work towards conforming with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. The Accessibility Guidelines explain how to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance to these Guidelines helps to make the Web more accessible to users with disabilities and benefits all users.Useful Links
